May

Well done to all the athletes who participated at Day 1 of the Kildare Juvenile and Junior Track and Field Championship. Medal winners for the boys were:
U9 Long Jump - 3rd – Rory Taylor, U10 Turbo Javelin – 2nd - Daniel Baars, U14 Shot Putt – 1st - John Healy , U14 Shot Putt - 3rd - James O’Kane and U15 Long Jump – 3rd - Luke Hennessy

Medal winners for the girls were:
U9 100m - 3rd - Amy Tyrrell, U12 Relay(4x100m) - 1st, U12 Long Jump - 2nd - Hannah Breen
U13 200m - 2nd - Jill O’Toole, U15 200m - 2nd - Inez Duane, U15 Hurdles - 3rd - Ella Duane
U15 High Jump - 1st - Inez Duane, U17 200m - 3rd - Lisa Aspel, U17 Hurdles - 1st - Lisa Aspel and U17 Long Jump - 1st - Lisa Aspel



March

Day 1 of Kildare League: Sunday 15th
Well done to all 35 athletes who showed up and competed in round 1 of the league today. What a great turn out, well done everybody. : ) Sorry no photos from today but we will have lots from the next round.

Day 3 of the Leinster Indoor Championships 
Congratulations to the following athletes who competed on Saturday the 7th of March in Athlone - Ellen Colman(600m, LJ), Hannah Breen(600m, LJ), Sophie Ngai(LJ), Ella Flemming(600m), Inez Duane(HJ), Luke Hennessy(HJ), Ella Duane(60m Hurdles), Roisin Crowe(400m) and Lisa Aspel(200m, 60m hurdles).  Hannah brought home a silver medal in the 600m and Lisa bronze for the 200m. Well done girls. 

February
Day 2 of the Leinster Indoor Championships 
Well done to Brendan Aspel and Lisa Aspel who competed in the Leinster Indoor Junior Championships on Sunday 15th. Brendan had a great throw in the shot-put and Lisa brought home the Silver medal in the Triple Jump. Congrats guys!


Day 1 of the Leinster Indoor Championships 
Big congratulations to our U12 Boys Relay Team, U12 Girls Relay Team and Adanya
(U16 1500m), who competed at the Leinster Indoor Championships on Saturday 14th. Well done to the girls who in a nail biting final were just pipped on the line for 1st but came home with a wonderful silver Leinster medal. Great racing everyone! Looking forward to the next round of indoors on March 7th and 8th. 

January 2015
Well done to all our athletes who competed in Athlone in The first Indoor Kildare County Championships on 24th January. James Deane, Jill O'Toole, Maeve Flemming, Hannah Breen, Inez Duane, Ella Duane, Molly O'Loughlin, Luke Hennessey and Adanya Hott all had a great day out for their first event of the year. Congrats to our medal winners: Hannah Breen (1st 600m, 3rd long jump), Ella Flemming (2nd 600m), Luke Hennessey (3rd High Jump), Inez Duane (1st High Jump), Ella Duane (1st Long jump, 3rd 60m). Great start to the year for Crookstown!




2014 Results

December 2014
What a great day for Crookstown MV to end the cross country season! Hannah and Cliodhna brought home a gold and two silver medals between them in the All Ireland Uneven Ages Cross Country Championships at Santry. Hannah had a fantastic run, leading almost from the start and came home with an individual gold and Leinster silver medal. Cliodhna in a very competitive race, had a great run and finished with a silver Leinster medal. Well done girls! All of your hard work paid off today. (see gallery for photos)


November 2014 - Even ages All Ireland on Sunday 23rd in Dundalk IT
A big congrats to Hannah (U12), Ella (U12) and Cliodhna(U18) who competed in the even ages All Ireland on Sunday 23rd in Dundalk IT.  All three girls had a great race and did their club and county proud. Well done to Hannah for receiving a gold leinster medal and to Cliodhna for her silver leinster medal. It's looking good for  Santry in 2 weeks



November 2014 - Leinster Cross Country
 Well done to our Leinster Cross Country Athletes, Ella, Hannah, Odhran and Cliodhna who had a great day in Adamstown yesterday. All of you did the club and yourselves proud and also gained lots of valuable race experience! Hannah who was 4th and Cliodhna, 9th will now be representing club and County in both upcoming All Irelands. Great racing and good luck
girls!



















July 2014 - All Ireland Combined events
Congratulations to Lisa Aspel who won silver at the combined events and achieved 2 new PBs in the process. Fantastic result :)




June 2014 - Leinster Under 14 -19s 
Well done to all our athletes who competed at the Leinster Under14 - 19 championships. For many it was their first outdoor Leinster competition and everyone performed brilliantly.
The medal winners on the day were: - Brendan Aspel with a bronze in the shot, Roisin Crowe won a silver in the 400m, and a bronze in the long jump,  Cliodhna won a bronze in the 800m, Jonny McKenna, won bronze in both the 200 and the Long Jump, and Lisa Aspel won a Gold in the Triple jump. Excellent performances by all :)






June 2014 - Leinster Under 12s &13s championships and Leinster Under 9s,10s, & 11s pairs competitions.

Brendan Aspel places sixth in Ireland

Congratulations to Brendan Aspel who finished sixth at the All Ireland Indoor championships in the Under 17 Shotput. A really great achievement




















Brendan Aspel Leads Crookstown team to some great performances

Another good day at the Leinster indoors - Colm McMahon was first up for the club today where he competed in U13 Long Jump and finished 7th overall out of 35 athletes with a jump of 3.79m. Roisin Crowe was first today on the track in the U17 800m where she put in a great race, and finished 4th. Aoife Kelly was next in the U15 Long Jump where her best jump of 4.33m earned her 8th place overall. Jill O’Toole, Inez Duane, Ella Duane and Aoife Kelly all competed in the 60m sprints where there were huge fields of athletes, all finishing in the top half of their age groups.

At the end of a long day in Leinster well done to all. Hope you are all looking forward to your next competition.

It was a good start to the 2014 track and field season for all our athletes who competed this weekend. Best of luck to Brendan in the All Irelands in 2 week’s time




Congratulations to Brendan, Jill, John and Inez at the first day of the Leinster Indoor Championships
Jill O’Toole jumped 3.78m in U12 Long Jump and finished in 6th place overall, Brendan Aspel threw 9.23m in Shot to pick up a bronze Leinster medal, Inez Duane jumped 3.77m in U14 Long Jump and John Healy threw 8.39m in U13 Shot Putt to finish 4th overall. 





Congratulations to Lisa Aspel who competed at the Scottish National Indoor competition in Glasgow last weekend and won a bronze medal in triple jump and came 4th in the final of the hurdles. Another fantastic result for Lisa 






Well done to Cliodhna, Roisin and Adanya who took part in the 1500m and 800m at the Leinster Indoors in Athlone on Saturday. A great experience and a good training session to kick start us off for the year. Good work girls

All Ireland Combined Events - 11th January 2014

Congratulations to Lisa Aspel who competed in the first event of 2014 (All Ireland combined events in Athlone) today and achieved a fantastic Silver Medal as well as personal best performances in 2 of the disciplines.
